Once upon a time, there was a village where all the residents were cats no humans at all. The village was called Taby Pusy Village, a peaceful cat settlement where the citizens made their living as farmers, fishermen, gardeners, and small business owners. Many of them also worked as office staff for the village administration.
Life in Taby Pusy was happy, safe, peaceful, and harmonious. The villagers got their food by fishing, planting rice, growing vegetables and fruits, and selling their harvest. Some villagers ran small businesses such as convenience stores, restaurants, electronics shops, stationery stores, clothing shops, and more. Everything they did was for their daily needs and for the welfare of the entire village.
The head of Taby Pusy Village was proud and grateful because the villagers lived in happiness and always supported each other.
One day, however, investors from a big city, humans arrived. They wanted to build a luxury hotel and a grand shopping mall. Worse, the investor said the existing shops and buildings in the village were “too small” and should be renovated or torn down. The village head refused, because the buildings there were made with the hard work and volunteer effort of the villagers.
But the investors secretly planned to demolish the land at night while the cats were asleep.
The next morning, the villagers were shocked to find that their land had been sealed off by the investors. The cats were furious they would not accept having their land taken away. The village head was heartbroken because his land was also seized. The villagers protested and held a demonstration, demanding justice and accusing the investors of disturbing the peace of Taby Pusy Village.
The investor threatened them, saying the cats should leave the village forever. But the villagers refused. Taby Pusy was their home historical, meaningful, and sacred to them.
One day, during the early construction of the hotel and mall, something strange happened. All the machines, the cement mixer, excavators, trucks suddenly broke down. The construction workers were confused because the equipment had been in perfect condition.
Suddenly, the sky turned dark. A storm formed. Lightning flashed. Strong winds struck the construction site. The workers trembled in fear, but the investor brushed it off as “just bad weather.”
Then the sky grew even darker, and hailstones started to fall, making the workers panic even more.
Out of nowhere, an elder cat spirit, an ancient ancestor of Taby Pusy, appeared before the investor and his subordinates. The elder cat declared that the land the humans were trying to build on did not belong to them but to the citizens of Taby Pusy.
The investor laughed mockingly, saying there was no way cats could build anything, and that their buildings were probably made of fish bones.
The elder cat warned them to leave the land at once, but the investor refused. The wind grew stronger and stronger.
The elder cat said,
“If you do not clear the land, you should leave now before the wind becomes even stronger.”
The investor only laughed again.
The wind turned into a violent storm. The buildings under construction collapsed in an instant. The terrified workers fled back to the city, but the investor and his men stayed, refusing to leave.
Then a massive tornado formed. It spun rapidly and lifted the investor’s car into the air. The investor panicked as his vehicle was hurled away. Finally, he and his men were caught in the strong winds and thrown across the road.
Terrified and defeated, they returned to the city empty-handed.
After the incident, the villagers of Taby Pusy, along with the village head and village officials rejoiced. Their land was safe. Their home was protected.
Months passed, and life in Taby Pusy returned to normal. The cats continued their daily routines working, studying, farming, fishing, and running their businesses. Peace returned once more.
And the village of Taby Pusy lived happily and safely forever.
