Di Langit yang Sama (Under the Same Sky)

Tanpa diketahui banyak orang, Nadira memiliki saudara kembar identik bernama Naura Ayuningtyas. Meski wajah mereka sama, sifat keduanya bertolak belakang.

In 1985, in a small town in East Java, six high school students from different backgrounds find themselves placed in the same classroom.

There is Arga Pratama Wijaya, a wise young man who often acts as the mediator whenever conflicts arise; Bima Saputra Mahendra, the humorous one who never seems to run out of ideas; Damar Aditya Nugraha, quiet but kind-hearted; Raka Mahesa Putra, ambitious and full of determination; Yoga Fadillah Kusuma, a religious and compassionate friend who always reminds the others to do good; and the only girl in the group, Nadira Ayuningtyas, a cheerful young woman who becomes the glue holding their friendship together.

Unknown to most people, Nadira has an identical twin sister named Naura Ayuningtyas. Although they share the same face, their personalities are completely different. Nadira is outgoing and active, while Naura is quiet, shy, and fond of reading.

The friendship between the six teenagers grows through simple yet meaningful moments. They study together before exams, pray together at the school prayer room, eat at their favorite food stall, play soccer, ride bicycles around town, watch outdoor movies during celebrations, take part in community clean-up activities, and simply sit by the school field talking about their dreams.

Their teenage years are filled with laughter, arguments, tears, disappointments, and happiness—all of which slowly shape them into the people they are meant to become.

But adolescence can never completely escape matters of the heart.

Without initially knowing about each other's feelings, Arga and Damar both develop feelings for Nadira. Their long-standing friendship is tested when those feelings are finally revealed. Wanting to protect the friendship they have built, Damar chooses to step aside. He keeps his feelings to himself and gives Arga the chance to pursue Nadira, who eventually becomes his girlfriend.

It is not an easy decision for Damar. It takes him a long time to accept the reality of losing his first love.

During that process, however, he begins spending more time with Naura, Nadira's twin sister. Through simple conversations, quiet moments of encouragement, and their shared love of books, something unexpected begins to grow between them.

Unlike Damar's first love, which was filled with uncertainty and emotional turmoil, his relationship with Naura develops quietly and naturally. Eventually, the two begin dating.

After graduating from high school, the six friends must accept that their dreams will take them to different universities. Although they are separated by different campuses and cities, they always make time to meet during holidays, celebrate birthdays together, help one another through difficult times, and maintain the tradition of gathering that began during their teenage years.

As life moves forward, they enter the working world and face challenges far greater than anything they experienced in school.

Some become teachers, architects, doctors, entrepreneurs, lecturers, and civil servants. They experience failures, lose their parents, face pressure at work, and endure countless challenges that come with adulthood.

Yet whenever one of them falls, the other five are always there to lift them back up.

Time continues to pass.

Arga eventually marries Nadira, while Damar marries Naura. Bima, Raka, and Yoga also find their own life partners. Their friendship gradually grows into something even greater: a bond between their families.

Their children grow up together, just as their parents once did.

By 2026, more than forty years have passed since the six friends first met in that high school classroom.

Their hair has turned gray, their faces now carry the marks of age, and their lives have become busier than ever. Yet none of it has erased the bond they built as teenagers.

They still gather in familiar places, reminiscing about studying together, praying side by side, watching outdoor movies, riding bicycles through town, and talking about the simple dreams they once had.

They realize that although life has taken them in different directions, some things never truly change.

“Under the Same Sky” is a coming-of-age story about six friends who discover that love can change direction, dreams can carry people far away, and life can take unexpected turns—but true friendship will always find its way home.

Through laughter, tears, separation, reunion, love, loss, and decades of shared memories, they learn that family is not defined solely by blood.

Sometimes, family is made up of the people who choose to remain by our side—not just for a season, but for a lifetime.
